French society ITHPP - Alcen and Canadian society Placements Apalache (1966 ) Ltd. announced that they will make a collaborative development during the next upcoming months to create a new system of extraction and processing of quartz using only electrical pulses. This system will have a lower environmental footprint, lower operation cost and will bring a safer work environment for the workers by removing explosives and crushers normally used in conventional extractions.
According to ITHPP, this will allow "PAL to have a competitive advantage over competitors and will position the company as an innovation leader in terms of process on the entire operation. (translated from french)"
